Oilskin Coat Sizing Chart
Kangaroo Crossing Oilskin Coat Unisex Sizing Chart:
Our oilskin coats are cut extra long to provide ample length for protection from the elements: briars, rain or horse flanks. We recommend that you size to allow ample room for a heavy sweater - if in doubt, go up a size - you don't want a tight coat.

Oilskin Cloth Information:
Oilskin cloth provides a tremendous water barrier. The wax/oil blend in the fabric is not water soluable so rain and other incident water tend to run off the garment. The oilskin fabric is breathable too. The crystalline structure of the wax varies and realigns with temperature (usually body heat) to allow sweat in the form of water vapor to permeate through the oilskin fabric while not allowing external water in.
Oilskin Coat Care Instructions:
Oilskin garments are almost carefree and will last for many years. To clean your oilskin simply wipe or hose it down with cool water. To dry, hang your oilskin coat in a cool, well-ventilated area and allow to drip dry.
Important:
Do not use hot water.
Do not dry clean.
Do not use any soap or detergents.
Do not machine wash.
Do not force dry or hang in front of a fire.
Keep way from fire and flame.
Garments should be retreated with oilskin oil every 2 or 3 years or as usage requires. If the fabric drys out in patches, that is a sign that retreatment is needed. We recommend Spinifex 500 reproofing compound.
